Frequently Asked Questions
1. What Curriculum Do You Use?
HFSE International School adopts a flexible and inclusive approach to education through its self-developed curriculum, designed to cater to students of diverse nationalities and learning needs. The curriculum is continuously reviewed and enhanced, drawing from best practices of recognized and established education systems to ensure quality and relevance. For students who intend to transition into Singapore’s mainstream education system, the school incorporates the Singapore syllabus in key subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science.
In addition, the school offers a second pathway through the internationally recognised Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum. This structured and globally benchmarked programme provides a clear academic framework and progression aligned with international standards. Together, these two pathways offer families the flexibility to choose an educational route that best supports their child’s learning journey and future aspirations.
2. Are You Offering Other Language Courses?
HFSE International School now offers the Global Class for all Primary One to Primary Five Students for AY2026.
This class aims to provide alternative languages such as French, Mandarin, and Tamil

5. Will My Child Be Able To Go Back To The Mainstream Education System?
Our self-developed curriculum is intentionally designed to prepare students for the AEIS (Admissions Exercise for International Students), equipping them with the academic foundation and competencies required for entry into Singapore’s mainstream schools. This initiative was introduced to provide greater opportunities and flexibility for global migrant families residing in Singapore.
In addition, HFSE offers the Cambridge Assessment International Education pathway, which follows a structured and internationally benchmarked framework. This pathway supports students who may wish to pursue globally recognised academic progression and facilitates transitions to other international or mainstream education systems.
With these two pathways, families are able to choose an approach that best aligns with their child’s educational goals—whether transitioning into Singapore’s mainstream system or continuing within an international academic track.
6. If We Go To Other Or Our Home Country, Will My Child's Education Be Credited?
Yes. Based on our experience, many of our students have successfully migrated to countries such as New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Canada, countries in Europe, and the Philippines. In most cases, the usual process is for the student to undergo the entrance assessment or placement procedure required by the prospective school in the country they are transferring to.
HFSE supports families by providing the necessary school documents, including the Transcript of Records (TOR), Report Cards, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, and Certificate of Good Moral Character. Should the receiving school require additional documents, certifications, or testimonials, HFSE will also extend assistance as needed.
For students under the Cambridge pathway, the curriculum follows an internationally recognised framework, which may help support smoother transitions to schools abroad, subject to the admission and placement requirements of the receiving institution.
For students under the HFSE self-developed pathway, placement in a new school will likewise depend on the receiving school’s assessment and admissions process, with HFSE providing the relevant academic records and supporting documents.
8. Can You Offer Assistance With Applying For A Student Pass?
Yes, HFSE holds a valid 4-year registration and has attained EduTrust Certification (Provisional).
Please note that Student Pass applications remain subject to approval by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and are beyond the school’s control.
