HFSE mission, vision and virtues are based on Christian teachings and we require all students to attend our Christian Living/Values Education & Language class. While all are eligible applicants regardless of nationality, culture, race or religion are welcome, it is advised that applicants and their parents should be comfortable with these school practices. Applicants seeking admission should agree to comply with these requirements and maintain strict discipline in attendance, punctuality, uniform, behavior and school work.
Student/Parent/Guardian have read, understood, agreed to and will comply with all the requirements especially in the strict discipline of the school.
Any person who smokes, drinks alcoholic beverages, uses prohibited drugs or abuse illegal substances will not be admitted.
Anyone seeking admission must be of good conduct and have attendance of no less than 80% in the previous school.
A student who has studied in a Singapore government or government-aided school and is seeking admission into a certain class level must have passed the previous level.
A student who has not studied in a Singapore government or government-aided school previously and is seeking admission must take a placement test in Mathematics and English and must pass both subjects before they are qualified for admission.
Students who fail in one or both subject/s and intend to downgrade to a lower level will still need to sit and pass the placement test for that level.
Student/Parent/Guardian will treat all information received in the application forms as private and confidential and any dissemination, distribution or duplication of such information, unless required by law or other statutory regulations is strictly prohibited and is the sole property of HFSE International School.

- The school ensures that Admissions Officers (Course Counsellors) are trained and equipped with guidelines and materials to conduct accurate pre-course counselling before being assigned this role, with training records maintained by the Office of Admin and Operations.
- Pre-course counselling involves matching prospective students’ educational needs with suitable courses, supported through comprehensive sessions and Open House events.
- Students (and parents of underage students) must acknowledge that accurate information was provided during the application process.
- Service quality is monitored through proactive (New Parent Satisfaction Survey) and reactive (feedback/complaints) mechanisms.
- A copy of the Student Contract is published on the school’s official website to ensure transparency.
- The Office of Admin and Operations manages the student selection process, which includes verifying entry requirements, document authenticity, and obtaining approval from Management and academic partners (where applicable).
- A member of the Management Team reviews and approves key areas of the selection process to ensure compliance with established procedures.
- Training & Briefing: Admissions Officers (Course Counsellors) must be trained on pre-course counselling components and procedures before being assigned, with training records kept by the Office of Admin and Operations. Recruitment staff are also trained with reference to the APSR Manual.
- Pre-Course Counselling: Conducted during the application stage and reinforced in Open House sessions. Officers must provide all required information (including student pass regulations and Singapore laws), identify applicants’ needs, and recommend suitable courses. Information is documented in the Pre-Course Counselling Acknowledgement Form and New Student Checksheet, signed by parents/guardians.
- Quality Monitoring: Service standards are ensured through proactive (Parent Satisfaction Survey) and reactive (feedback/complaints) mechanisms.
- Application Process:
- Parents submit enrolment information and supporting documents via the school’s online portal.
- Application fees are collected (with official receipts).
- Admissions Officers conduct entrance tests (English & Math) and file results. Special needs students undergo trial classes and assessments by Learning Support Teachers. Academics may interview borderline students.
- Results and applications are reviewed by the Management Team for acceptance/rejection.
- Special Cases: Applicants not meeting minimum requirements may still be admitted with Academic & Examination Board approval (e.g., bridging modules, prior experience, further interviews). Records of such approvals are kept.
- Verification & Documentation:
- Admin verifies authenticity of all documents (marking them as “Verified” in the system).
- Admin ensures all Student Selection Checklist items are completed before forwarding files to Management.
- A Student P-file is created with all application documents, checklists, and approvals.
- Final Approval & Offer:
- Management (and external partners, if applicable) give final approval.
- Admin issues a Letter of Offer (or rejection notice) and files it in the P-file.
- Admin ensures full adherence to the selection and counselling process.
